As most of you will know by now, the hit Sci Fi show Stargate SG-1 has been cancelled by the SCI FI Channel after a record breaking 10 years! The series first aired in 1997 after spinning off from the hit movie 'Stargate' in 1994. Since Stargate SG-1 first aired it has captivated an enormous fanbase all over the globe and the success of the show continues to spread through a spinoff series 'Atlantis' which has been renewed for a 4th season.
The show has a fantastic collection of Directors, Writers and Producers who I feel have enough creativity in themselves to continue the success of Stargate SG-1. Galaxy of Stars would like to thank Peter DeLuise, Martin Wood, Brad Wright, Robert C. Cooper, Andy Mikita, Ron French, Martin Gero, Michael Greenburg, N. John Smith and the rest of the brilliant crew that work behind the scenes (sorry there's just too many of you to list personally
;-)
). You have brough 10 great years to millions of fans across the globe.
I would also like to personally thank Andy Mikita for being a member of the Galaxy of Stars Forums. Andy joined the forums back in March 2005 when he agreed for Galaxy of Stars to set up a forum for him where the fans can post questions to him that he can answer when he finds the spare time to visit. I hope that with the 'possible' end of Stargate SG-1 approaching that Andy Mikita will still try and be an active member on the Galaxy of Stars Forums from time to time. Why not pop over to Andy's forum and show him the support you have for him and the show. Thank you again Andy!
Next up I would like to thank Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Christopher Judge, Teryl Rothery, Don S. Davis, Gary Jones, Corin Nemec, Ben Browder, Claudia Black, Beau Bridges, Cliff Simon and all of the supporting cast that have been involved throughout the series. All of the actors on the series have such an amazing talent, and it really has inspired so many people in so many countries.
Do not think for one second that Galaxy of Stars has just accepted the end of Stargate SG-1.... because we haven't! We will continue to strongly support the show, cast and crew in whatever the future may hold for the show, whether it be a Season 11 (picked up by another Network), a big screen movie, TV movie, mini series, Christmas specials, computer games, etc.... The show must go on!
One last (but very important) thank you must go out to ALL of the FANS worldwide for their support of the show over the last 10 years and their continued support during this very important time. MGM/SONY are very lucky to have such dedicated fans like yourselves, and I know how dedicated you are because I am too! Lets show them our support!!!!!
